    I've disabled my WV, and set comment moderation for any posts, more than 5 days old. Hopefully the spam filters will do their stuff.

    I searched (or browsed, depending upon my state of mind) the Blogger Help Centre to try to find out why they changed the WV thing to something only a computer could translate.
    Under the topic "Prevent unwanted comments and comment spam" there is a sentence "You can enable word verification for your comments." (with the link as above).
    The link is really bloggy helpful.
